Wayne worked as a staff photographer based in Auckland, New Zealand for the New Zealand Press Association (NZPA) from November 2005 to September 2011 when NZPA closed it doors forever... During that time he was lucky enough to travel to many events around the world.

 

Wayne has covered a variety of news stories and sports events, including the Unrest in East Timor and Solomon Islands, Christchurch Earthquakes, 50th Anniversary of Scott Base, Commonwealth Games, Rugby Union and League test matches, Netball world cup, Golf, V8 Supercars, Football, Basketball, Hockey, etc.

 

During his time with NZPA, Wayne's work was also commissioned  by  The Associated Press, The Australian Associated Press and others news outlets around the world, and also won him 3 Qantas Media awards.
